PROVEN TOOLS FOR MORE IMPACT

No practice without theory. And regarding theory we like to use proven tools like LIFO® or Situational Leadership®. Human Challenge holds the licence for both methods. The licence serves as a quality guarantee for a thorough knowledge and permanent training.

Based on our ample practical experience we also developed our own concepts and tools. An example includes the TDS (Team Development Status) questionnaire or the integrative model of  The Coaching Chemistry.


The LIFO® method

LIFO ® stands for "Life Orientations", a practical model about what drives people's actions, developed by Dr Allan Katcher. The user-friendly programmes help understand how people think, how teams work together and how the business operates on a day-to-day basis. A well-considered analysis based on the LIFO ® method unveils opportunities for a better self-management, communication and development. A key aspect of LIFO ® - training is building appropriate strategies for dealing effectively with both normal conditions and stress or conflict conditions. Using the LIFO ® method operates like a lever in change among individuals, teams and organisations and directly contributes to a better climate for team work, effective decision-making and problem-solving. Moreover the method supports many concrete applications in organisations (leadership, sales training, career orientation, conflict management...).

Situational Leadership®

The founding principle of Situational Leadership® (developed by Dr. Paul Hersey) is that one single leadership style, successful in every situation, does not exist. Leaders are effective or ineffective to the extent that they manage to change their behaviour in function of the employees that they are in charge of, and in changing situations. The practical use of Situational Leadership ® is that it provides managers the tools to understand the process of influencing the performance of others and to know which leadership style will have the highest probability of success in various situations.

TDS Questionnaire

Human Challenge developed this questionnaire from a large experience in teambuilding services. The Team Development Status questionnaire is a self-assessment instrument for teams. The results of the questionnaire indicate the stage of development in which the team currently finds itself and determine the areas of improvement for the team.

The Coaching Chemistry

Coaching is a developmental process between well-determined preconditions for success. There already exist – too – many theories and models on coaching. Human Challenge went in search of the essentials. Based upon our rich experience with coaches and coaching, we developed “The chemistry of coaching". This overall framework provides you with a hands-on guide for conducting coaching meetings as well as for building effective coaching programmes. It includes a clear phasing, skills, tools, typical questions, behavioural attitudes and metrics.

Human Touch online toolkit

In today's complex business environment implementing change has become one of the key tasks of managers. However, anyone who has tried to introduce innovation and change in organizations knows by experience - managing change is often a difficult, lengthy and sometimes frustrating process.  As a support for leaders in change processes, we developed the online toolkit Human Touch, gathering theory and over 50 practical tools. The contributions are purposefully selected and structured, enabling managers to learn about change and quickly jump into action. The content emphasizes the ' human Touch ', and in particular the communicative and people management issues of change.

Human Touch is conceived as an instructive and practical website, where users look for insight and tools independently and just-in-time.
